We will also be at the third edition of the event Donne fra le stelle from 22nd
to 24th March in Abano Terme.
Twenty-two female scientists and researchers involved to talk about women, about
sustainability, science and the future.
From leading European institutes and research centres in the field of
physics, astronomy, astronautics, astrophysics and aerospace engineering will
tell, as women and as professionals, and we are proud to
support and listen to these women.
An intense three days that will take place mainly at the prestigious
Marconi Theater in Abano Terme.
Debates, meetings, curiosities, but also music with Riccardo Mei’s concert on
Saturday evening and an award dedicated to the memory of Rossella Panarese,
Radio3Tre science journalist.
The Award is sponsored by Confindustria Veneto Est and is open to the
participation of researchers, journalists, scholars, authors, filmmakers, bloggers who
with their commitment and through their art as communicators have contributed
to popularise space science and with the aim of contributing to the
scientific dissemination concerning Space in many voices making it
accessible, usable and of common interest, attributing to scientific culture
a central role in society. Six will be the final winners for the two
competition categories, Under 30 and Over 30.
The jury of the Prize consists of members of the scientific world,
academic, research, communication, TV, film and
company and we are honoured to be part of it together with Leila Zoia, responsible
communication Astronomy Department University of Padua, Antonella
Attili, Actress, Cristiana Ruggeri, TV journalist Rai TG 2, Giampaolo
Colletti, President WebTv Italia, il Sole 24 Ore, Cristina Borile, Entrepreneur
and Vice President of Confindustria Turismo Veneto, Riccardo Mei, actor and
voice actor for Rai Mediaset TV programmes, Antonio Maconi, president
of the Goodnet company and organiser of the Galileo Science Festival
Padua, Dr Romina Gobbo, journalist, Dr Alessandra Turco, author.
“However, ‘Women Among the Stars’ was born not only as an event but is an association
nata dal desiderio di illustrare le meraviglie del cosmo al grande pubblico
through the voices of female astronauts, astrophysicists, aerospace engineers and
researchers, to make women protagonists by emphasising their commitment and
results in the scientific field, where it is still clearly prevalent
the male presence.
The aim of the association is to stimulate young people, especially girls, to
choose STEM subjects in their studies and does so by organising
travelling symposia throughout the country and with the collaboration of the most
important research centres worldwide (ASI Italian Space Agency,

ESA European Space Agency, NASA National Aeronautics Space
Administration).
Donne fra le stelle has the patronage of the city of Abano Terme, Province of
